We had a fantastic stay at this environmentally conscious hostel. The hostel's facilities were great, with a lovely patio and a well-equipped kitchen. Our room was comfortable, and the hot shower was a real treat, especially in the evening. One of the highlights was the hot water bottle they provided, which kept us warm throughout the night. We also enjoyed the company of the friendly resident cats. a wonderful experience at Hostal Sonchek.
Nothing negative to say. 😊

We had a great time staying at this hostel during our family vacation. The location was fantastic, with shops, travel agencies, and the main street just a short walk away. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, always ready to help. The hot showers were a welcome treat after a long day exploring. The hostel also had a lovely courtyard where we could relax and unwind. We were pleased to see that they took sustainability seriously, with their water and energy-saving initiatives.
The communal kitchen could have been cleaner, but it was mainly due to other guests not cleaning up after themselves.

I gotta say, I felt like I hit the jackpot with the value for money at this place. The room was not only comfy, but also had its own en suite facilities and a cozy porch to chill on. Plus, the location was spot-on and the staff treated me like a VIP.
The breakfast menu could use a little more variety, but hey, that's just a small thing in the grand scheme of things.

Old style adobe building, keeps rooms cool. Wi-Fi only in common area. Enough bathrooms and toilets, water conscious. Good decision to extend stay. Great location off main street, escape the heat easily.

This hostel is conveniently located a short walk from main shops and cafes. The beds are comfortable and the shared kitchen has good facilities. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing great assistance when needed, like arranging alternate tours. The building's traditional adobe/mud style keeps the rooms cool, even in the scorching desert heat. The hostel is conscious of water usage and eco-friendly practices. The shared bathrooms are well-maintained and sufficient in number, ensuring convenience for guests. The presence of cats in the common areas adds a charming touch.
The WiFi is only accessible in the common area, which may be inconvenient for guests wanting internet access within their rooms at any time.

I stayed at a hostel in a great location, just a minute's walk from the main street. The property was secure with a locked main door and security camera. The rooms and toilets faced an open garden, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were always available and there was a keeper on duty throughout the night. The rooms were comfortable with the perfect temperature and lockers for private rooms. Despite occasional hot water issues, which are common in the desert, the stay was enjoyable. the hostel had a clean and cozy environment.
